I’m an engineer by training, an entrepreneur by nature and a leader by endurance. I have spent the better part of my working career designing and building micro-chips. During that time, I got an MBA in Technology Management and went to a few startups, one of which I founded.
Endurance Athlete: I love pushing my limits and no other sport does that more than triathlon. I have done over a dozen (with four being 1/2 Ironman’s and 1 being a full Ironman) and enjoyed every single one. The best thing about being an endurance athlete is the people. You will not find a more dedicated, supportive and wonderful bunch of people anywhere.
Authored #ENDURANCE tweet — A Little Nudge to Keep You Going: #ENDURANCE tweet is a Twitter style book with 140, 140 character mantras, sayings and aha’s to give you that little extra push when you need it most.
Community Leader in San Francisco’s NOPA: I have a tremendous amount of respect for community leaders and elected officals. Public service is a tough but rewarding job. It’s tremendously satisfying to help improve the lives of those in your community. One of my high points was being asked to speak on KQED’s Forum to discuss how neighbors were joining together to make the 100th Bay to Breakers “Fun for Everyone.”
Authored Frustration Free Technical Management: This was a lot of fun to write. For any of you who ever wanted to write a book, I say go for it. You will never regret it. My only advice, blog first — it’s great practice.
